Susan Wojcicki, The Former CEO of YouTube, Died at 56!

The Business Tycoon Susan Wojcicki,  the former Chief Executive Officer, passed away at 56. Susan served on YouTube for almost nine years. She was ill from cancer for the last two years!

Susan Career: 

Wojcicki was working for Google, Susan was the first marketing manager of Google; she joined Google in 1999 as the marketing manager; her skills and great ideas shaped Google’s early business and marketing strategies; her involvement with developing AdSense and Adwords, which is the revenue master of Google; and Susan was the key aspect of creating Adwords and making it no new higher for Google!

Her ideas made YouTube $1.65 billion in acquisition through Google, the biggest acquisition in tech history. Wojcicki introduced YouTube Premium and YouTube TV for the global reach to expand the platform through monetization for creators and advertisers, and Susan resigned from YouTube in February 2023.

Reasons: She wants to get into her personal life, and family, and step back from YouTube, but gets involved in Google and Alphabet. The parent company of YouTube, she works as an advisor, mentoring employees, guiding the staff, and prioritizing her family and personal life.

He said, “Unbelievably saddened by the loss of my dear friend @SusanWojcicki after two years of living with cancer. She is as core to the history of Google as anyone, and it’s hard to imagine the world without her.
